OVERVIEW

Embracing Motherhood

We welcome you to surrender into all that motherhood has to offer in a safe, supportive space shared with other women and their babies. It takes nine months to prepare for birth and motherhood - and often just as long (or longer) for the mind and body to begin to heal. These weekly postnatal yoga classes offer gentle guidance and companionship through that journey.

Whether you practised yoga before or during pregnancy - or are entirely new to it - you may find your body and practice feel different on this side of birth. Your new role as a mother, changing sensations in the body, and the presence of your baby can all shift the experience.

This space is designed to support you where you are - with healing, reintegration, nourishment, and compassion. You’ll explore grounding and restorative yoga, pelvic stability and awareness, emotional support, and gentle ways to reconnect with your postnatal body and mind. We’ll release tight shoulders and stooped posture, and counter exhaustion and sleep deprivation with deep rest practices.

You're warmly welcomed just as you are - regardless of your birth story or yoga background. Every day is different, and your baby’s needs are too. Feeding, soothing, pausing, and tending to your baby during class is always encouraged.

Though the focus is primarily on your well-being, we occasionally integrate your baby into poses, movements, breathwork, and bonding exercises - offering moments of connection and play.

We journey together through this powerful transition from pregnancy to motherhood, supported by meditation, breath, gentle strengthening, pelvic floor work, and deep rest.

Each Class May Include:

  • Circle sharing and connection with other mothers

  • Pelvic-stabilising movements and poses

  • Pelvic bowl awareness and postnatal breath practices

  • Gentle yoga for tired shoulders and postural strain

  • Restorative yoga to support rest and recovery

  • Baby-inclusive exercises for bonding and sensory development

  • Meditation, sound, and breath to reconnect with yourself

  • Emotional support, self-compassion, and community

  • A welcoming space to show up exactly as you are

You are welcome to join whenever you and your baby feel ready - after any type of birth and up until your little one begins to crawl and move independently. Each journey is different, so tune in to your own pace. If you're unsure, please reach out.
