20 HOUR TRAINING

ESSENCE OF YIN

20 - 22 FEBRUARY

OVERVIEW

FRI 20 - SUN 22 FEBRUARY, 2026

This is a training for yoga teachers, yet also an immersion for students wanting to dive in to the mystery of yin.

This training is a weekend immersion in the still waters of yin, taking place in deep winter time, a time for cocooning and introspection. Yin is a way of living, more than a just simple practice. There are numerous tools that can help us connect to this energy within us, and this training is for those who want to learn and practice those tools to make yin more present and available in their life. This is a training for yin enthusiasts and for space holders who would like to share yin practices.

Living a yin life is a beautiful act of self-love but also a powerful act of rebellion towards a society that is constantly pushing us to move faster. Most of us live a Yang life. We have busy schedules, we move around, we travel, we meet people all the time. We get exposed constantly to the outer world, not just in real life experience, but also through our phones and computers. Our society has been celebrating productivity over rest. We have learnt to grind, to be efficient, to be productive, to hustle. Because of this, it is often difficult to give ourselves permission to rest and to slow down.

To relax should be the most natural thing, but somehow, we have been wired to think that is unproductive. Therefore we need to learn the tools to find more rest, in our body and mind in this society we live in. And while it might feel like something new we are learning, it is actually an innate wisdom within us that we simply need to tune into.

Yin is also a way to connect to nature, and to the elements. Just like we feel calmer when we walk in a forest, or swim in the sea, we can find peace  in the meadows of our heart and rest in the waters of our own body.

Emily is an inclusive, soft-hearted spaceholder. She has thousands of hours of teaching experience, including regular yoga classes in Copenhagen, as well as multiple workshops, trainings and retreats. Her favourite thing about being a teacher is to connect with people beyond just words and small talk.

She believe in the healing power of sitting in a circle sharing. She believes in the power of movement as a form of liberation, and of rest as a form of rebellion against our all-too-busy society.

For Emily yoga isn’t just a movement practice, but a way of living, which includes compassion, presence, vulnerability, honesty and community.
