Describe your classes in 3 word

Empowering, connecting and explorative

What is your story with Yoga?

I was constantly travelling for 2,5 years in my gap years and that’s where I got spellbound by Yoga. Since my surroundings was continuously changing, Yoga helped me being grounded in my core, in what I was and who I was (am) and it further helped me grow and expand. It still does. Everyday. And that’s why I’m so captivated by what Yoga does. It’s both intriguing and hard to put into words, but the feeling speaks clearly and that’s what matters.

What influences your style of teaching?

My teaching is mainly influenced by my believe in, that we as human beings already hold within us what we need – but very often, we lack awareness of this. I think Yoga is the most beautiful way to become aware and connect the experiences of the mind and the body - because both hold so much vital knowledge. So, when I’m creating my classes, I’m very inspired by the music I listen to, the poetry & books I read and the nature that surrounds me and how it affects my intuition.

Tell us three things about you

  • I always sit with one leg pulled up under me when I eat

  • I was a dancer when I was younger, which also influences my practice and teaching of Yoga a lot

  • I’m a huge foodie (vegetarian & vegan)! I develop recipes and create food-content on @amaliesigrid, so if you lack inspiration on green food, check it out! It’s in danish though…

What are you trained in?

I’m trained in Ashtanga and Vinyasa 200hr from Iluma Yoga School

Whats the best piece of advice you've received?

All the magic of the World is already within you. Let yourself be permeated by courage and curiosity – and then go explore it! Trust your intuition.

I’m from a city in Denmark called Holbæk.

What's your perfect Sunday looking like?

Yoga to start the day, delicious food, a long walk through Copenhagen, spending time with friends, family and my boyfriend.

Your favourite snack?

Tough one. Ricecakes with PB, the vegan fudge-brownie icecream from Naturli’ & some sort of melon.

What do you do for self-care?

Essential oils in the shower is such a luxurious treat, taking a mattress and a duvet out on my balcony to read or to listen to music, putting on lavender body oil before bedtime.
